Those posts about how Tumblr is the cringe virgins who never drink alcohol or smoke weed website started out as funny and probably good natured ribbing. But I'm starting to think too many people, weirdly enough adults in their 30's and beyond, are way too serious about it the whole "this website is full of cringy virgins who deserve to be bullied for being virgins who don't drink alcohol or smoke weed"

It's especially concerning when you do consider that the age demographics of this website are slanted towards being a lot of teens and people in their early 20's, and it's completely normal to be in your teens or even early 20's and have never drank/smoked/had sex.

I didn't start partying until I was around 19, and I didn't become sexually active until a few years after that when I was in my early 20's, and honestly? I'm happy I had those experiences at those ages and not younger. I'm glad I had more life experience and self esteem to better navigate those situations as a first timer.

If you're in your 30's and beyond and making posts on Tumblr about how we need to bully the "cringy virgin losers who've never even drank alcohol or smoked weed" when most of those "cringy virgin losers" are just actual kids at a very normal age to not have had those experiences yet, idk what else to tell you except that the cringy loser is actually you.

Do we have a good idea of what age EOW Link and Zelda are? There's clearly kids younger than them, but they seem younger than quite a few people too

my personal headcanon is around 14 years old. we know that link’s voice hasn’t dropped, at least not fully, which is usually the best in-game indicator we get about age. we also know that they’re old enough for npcs to refer to link as a “young man” or a “swordsman” rather than a boy or child, which means he’s definitely older than elementary-school-age. similarly, zelda is old enough that her close friends and family feel confident allowing her to leave the castle and traverse hyrule on her own (to a reasonable extent; wright does still tend to send soldiers out after her whenever he’s aware of her movements) but young enough that she’s fairly close friends with obviously elementary-aged children in castle town. her room contains both a toy horse and more mature jewelry and makeup boxes. link’s house contains both an axe to chop his own firewood and a stuffed owl. i think it’s safe to say they’re around middle school or early teenagerhood, 15 or 16 at the absolute oldest. based on the context clues the game gives, it’s pretty obvious to me that they’re at that sort of transitional stage between childhood and adulthood that we usually associate with middle school and early high school, which is why i chose 14 as my estimate!

I've held this in for such a long time, and I have to say this. The way people on here talk about the children in this fandom is so WEIRD. You can hide behind calling them the "Pinterest" or "Instagram" fans, but these posts are actually just making fun of the 12-year-olds who like this book. And I don't mean to be that person, but the kotlc fandom should theoretically be their space not ours anyways. Idk but it gives me a bad taste to see people make fun of the childish takes that CHILDREN make in fandom spaces that should be for THEM. To call them attractions or say they have bad reading comprehension is just odd. Like you are an adult, what are you doing. And it's one thing to poke fun of them on Tumblr since not a lot of young kids are on here anyways, but its another thing to make accounts on Pinterest specifically to invade their space and lowkey taunt them. Which is why I made this post in the first place. Get any other hobby. Engage with takes by people your own age. You sound like the "I challenged a 9-year-old kid to a basketball game and won" guy.

Every time I come across old pics of Taylor from debut era I’m always grossed out when I remember all those many times borshitta and other industry executives repeatedly said quite a few times “ you couldn’t tell if she was 15 or 21” and openly saying Taylor “appeals to young girls and grown men” 🤢

That’s gross enough when you know she was a child regardless of how she looked, but it’s even wilder when you look at pics of Taylor around that time. She looked like a child
